Blogs of Note

Wow, where does the time go? In just a few months it will be the two year anniversary of being chosen as a blog of note. Wow....imagine my surprise to wake up, log on and see that in one day I had over 25 thousand visitors. It has been a wild ride that is for sure.
I have been able to share my art with the world, introduce my amazing husband to everyone here ( his blog was also chosen as blog of note just a month prior to mine) and share with everyone our travels.
There have been tons of bumps along the way...... Rick's scare with this health, the death of a good friend and then of course my getting sick every time flu season comes around ( even with flu shots)
My getting stranded in Boston due to a major snow storm that shut down the entire east coast, the hurricanes ( yes plural)
You have been here to share surprises I have received from my darling husband, you have been here to share many things and I have received many great pieces of art from friends on here and many of you have received pieces of my art.

So here we are almost three years of blogging....wow, where does the time go?
I have often thought of opening my own website but someone seems to have taken it..lol

What is ahead you may ask?
Well, more art that is for sure
I am sure more travel as Rick is looking for Italy or Ireland next year
More fun things that Rick and I love to share
But I do hope you will stick around for the next three years with me

October is Breast Cancer Month

Patty over at www.lisasalteredart.com has this sheet for a dollar this week. I printed it out and made this little ATC. When you order your digi sheet from her this week she will also add a free sheet with ATC backgrounds for breast cancer. Thanks Patty
and don't forget the TA TA's

A few Halloween ATC's

Rick had taken a picture of house in Alaska that was abandoned. I loved that picture so I printed out two. Cut the window pane out and used pop dots and acetate to give it the feeling of a real window. I then added the scary little guy between the two and there you have it. A ghost looking out of a window.

Here is my submission for the ATC challenge at www.cropstop.com. Our challenge was to use metal as the base. I used a gold metal looking paper an embossed it with my Tim Holtz texture folder for Halloween.

Breast Cancer Digi sheet for mixed media art

Okay here is the most amazing sheet that Patty has ever done and it is only one dollar.
Think of the ATC's you can make with this. I am going to send to everyone woman I know a card with one of these on them and a reminder that this is the month to get them checked. So, go and get this sheet NOW.

Getting ready for the flight to Heathrow from New York

This was the vacation of a lifetime ( we thought) for us. Turns out Rick has Northern Europe planned next for us. Norway, Iceland, Scottland, Ireland, England, Paris France and one other place.
He surprised me by throwing this vacation on the books. I knew Italy in 2012 but not this one.
I can't wait. We have so much to celebrate knowing that the bone cancer scare was just that only a scare as it was his mast cell. So, now I have many many many years left with this amazing man.
