Art is Me

When I first started this canvas it was about me..... what am I? What do I stand for when it comes to my art. The answer........... Art is me. I am art and I am me. There are no guidelines to follow, there isn't a manual you have to read, there isn't any rules when it comes to art. ART is what you make it and what you feel....... so set yourself free and just create what is inside you.

The picture above is about freeing oneself from those rules

This is a flower I made using Tim Holtz's tattered flower die. I used smaller flowers for the center and a darker glimmer mist to give it that not so bloomed looked. The glimmer mist colors I used here were key lime and sweet clover.

I added in my new D-Vine by D-Zine Art Studio title that Rick came up with for me. This will hang on the door leading into my studio.

And whenever I go into the studio I will remember there are NO RULES and what I create is art because ART IS ME

gotta love restaurants with free wi- fi

At lunch now and since I had to work I wanted to share with everyone my new design studio so without further adieu......... Veronica's D-Vine by D-Zine Art Studio
My latest canvas will be on shortly

The Blind Side

Watched the movie tonight and cried like a baby. What a wonderful movie. With Rick's new toy ( huge tv) we have movies we can get from the internet and they are downloaded onto his new toy. Tonight it was the blind side with sandra bullock WOW...... I cried within the first five minutes of the movie and kept crying until the very end.
If you haven't seen the movie order it tonight!!!!!!!
Well worth the 2 hours and 8 minutes!

Altered Art Tag

Another vintage flower using Gloria's technique. I love the stamp and the color purple. This is for today's stamping at www.cropstop.com

The way you look tonight

I made this altered canvas for Patti. We do a swap of art every two months or so and this time it was Patti's turn to chose the topic. She chose Spring but since I was gone or working most of the time I totally missed srping and it just feels like summer now.
I tried a new technique I learned in making vintage glimmer mist flowers using Tim Holtz's tattered flower die.

Back to somewhat of a normal routine

Well, it looks like I finally am back to a normal routine. Two days off a week and back home from vacation.
Rick and I had an amazing time in Alaska and look forward to going to Europe in September. We will be going to Russia too.
Today I was able to make brownies to take to work tomorrow and even started on some art.
