Things come in TWOS

I have found myself looking and buying things but buying in twos. One for me and one for my sister Miss T. I did it this week at Ikea too. Hummm wonder why that is. I get some free samples but I pick up two. I order things online and I order two. I make things I make like 10 one for me one for Miss T and eight for my online friends if not more. Wow the power of friendship. Just a thought... that is why things come in twos and sometimes tens...lol

Hey Honey I'm Home

woo hooo made it home... and I forgot to say I also bought a wooden artist doll too as well as some other stuff... Finally I made it home yea

Oh my goodness I discovered IKea

So tonight we had a few hours to blow so we drove an hour to Ikea and found the best deals on some great stuff. I got three boxes of cute jars to store embellishments in. I also bought a really cool shadow box and a set of five magazines holders that I can I alter. I also bought a new mousepad, a cool cd case and some kitchen gadgets a stainless steel strainer and a salad strainer all get this for only less than 50 bucks. WOW Ikea rocks.
I had a blast
okay will be back home late tomorrow night.

So I found this birdhouse at work that is falling apart and I bought it for only 4.00 bucks look now cause in a couple of weeks it will be a vintage paris cafe.

Jane's Canvas

here is Jane's Canvas
I am calling it What lies within us. Jane gave me three quotes and this one just hit home for me. When you read it you automatically think the plight our families must have endured to ensure us prosperity.
The canvas was painted using Tim Holtz crackle paint and distressed inks
I then added some torn scrapbook paper and used decoupage to adhere the paper
Big Daddy and I searched the Internet today to find the perfect pictures that symbolize what it must have been like during the depression that all of our families endured.
I then used some stamps from The queen's dresser drawers for the stamped images.
The Penny in the top right corner is actually dated 1920 thanks to Big Daddy's Wheat Penny collection
The drawer handle pull is also very old again Thanks to big Daddy
I took UTEE and my non stick craft sheet and poured the UTEE lace
Added a prima flower and some buttons and of course some Bella Baubles
A little lace, ribbon, and tassels and here you have
"What lies within us"

My studio today

I spent this morning cleaning it up before I head to D.C. Wanted something clean for when I come home next week so I can spend the weekend creating.

Soul Sister and how you become one

Several people have asked how Toni and I have become almost one. I will give you my side of the story and miss T can give you hers.

First off let me start off by saying something about my life.... I was not close to my brother or sister never was what you would call friends. We are ALL so different even night and day can't describe the differences between us. I never really had roots to say.. never really made many long lasting friendships at all. We were always so different.

Three years ago Miss T had purchased something from ebay that we were selling and through emails we became hummm email buddies. Then ART came into the picture and I sent her something never knowing that it arrived on her deepest darkest day and vice versa. We started sending challenges to each other you know here is a box of junk now make something with it. We had fun with that then Toni made up this crazy store of two girls who met and one was me and the other her... That was cool but not how we became the closest even closer than friends.
Emails started getting longer, phone calls started happening and somewhere in there we realized we were kindred soul sisters. Call it parallel universe whatever but we had so much in common and yet so very different but our differences where even the same. Gosh, does that make sense?
We both love the lake, we love to travel and we are planning on getting our husbands and ourselves together for a trip to Italy and then just T and I to paris.
I can tell her to snap out of it and she can do the same to me and I still love her.
She can tell me that I am wrong and I still love her
I can tell her hummmm not liking that so much and she still loves me
We don't have to pretend with each other She knows me and I know her and ha what do you know we still love each other.
