Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber

So, I read this book tonight by Debbie Macomber called Twenty Wishes part of her Blossom Street series. This book is based on women making a list of twenty wishes that they want to accomplish in their lives. So what would your twenty wishes be? I will start with just a few of my wishes
1. Travel to Italy
2. Retire to Canada
3. Take ballroom dancing classes with my husband
4. Learn how to speak Italian and French fluently
5. Play in the snow three feet deep

So, there you have five of my twenty wishes

What would be your top five?

tough question, actually ... these are in no particular order:
1. run a marathon
2. get another labrador puppy
3. visit Frida Kahlo's home in mexico
4. learn to make creme brulee
5. retire to somewhere RIGHT ON the ocean (and trust me, I don't HAVE to wait until retirement, I could do that right now)
6. Live in France for a year
7. Self publish a novel
8. sell a song lyric to Sheryl Crow or Minnie Driver or Tina Dico (or all three)
9. Go to Paris with YOU
10. Be able to grow asparagus and lilacs
11. learn to sew well enough for what I want to do on craft projects
12. travel to Prague in the winter
13. hear Benicio del Toro tell me I'm beautiful
14. Be affluent enough when my boy(s) have children to be able to take care of my own grandchildren at least 2 days a week
15. Redesign our kitchen the way I dream of having it
16. take a workshop with Christine Adolph
17. Get my eyes lasered so at the very least I can wear contact lenses again
18. get my relationship with my Dad on a consistently even keel
19. learn to belly dance
20. get my one last tattoo that i really really want, the one I designed ...

A great list for sure. I have many things that I wish for ....maybe I will borrow your wish idea for a posting at my blog.

In no order:

Lose 45 lbs

see the world

learn more scripture

live in Manhattan, or at least have a place there

be satisfied with my looks

write

be present, really, fully, genuinely engaged with whatever human being God puts in front of me

most of all, realize how blessed I am and not be so tantalized by wishes

hear more live music

take voice lessons

Oh sounds like a very inspiring book - I'll have to check it out. Love five wishes you listed and funny enough, I made a similar list about four years ago. I'm slowly but surely crossing them out. So I'll share some that I still have left, in no particular order:

1) Attend and graduate from culinary school
2) Take a welding class
3) Live in a beachfront home
4) Take some professional photography classes
5) Live in Italy for a summer - but really who am I kidding if I lived there for a summer I probably wouldn't come back - LOL!

Wow, that's a tough question! I'll have to think about that because pretty much I am living my dream life. (Keep in mind my dream life is pretty simple.)
