These are the rules:-You must post the rules before you give your answers. You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details.

A gift for Miss Denise and a Challenge
Okay everyone, let's have some fun. A challenge to make Button Fairies. I know everyone has tons of buttons everywhere so let's have until next Sunday to make some button fairies and leave a comment with your blog site or email me at VRosenshein@aol.com with your pictures and I will post them here on the blog. Upon entering you are giving me permission to post your submission to this blog. I know all my friends and my new Sisters from SBS11 will want to join in on the fun. They are so easy to make first take about three feet of flexible wire twist a hanger at the top and keep twisting about the length of your image start threading your buttons on. Add ribbon if you like and finish your tail anyway you want. I stamped some wings from http://www.stampcamp.com/ and there you go you have a button fairy.
This is going to Miss D... so send me your address and I will get it in the mail to you.
Come on Jeri (yours are amazing) and Miss T I know you two will be awesome at it you too Nancy I have seen your button fairies(http://nancydooren.blogspot.com/ ) Let's have some fun.
p.s you can google button faires and find all kinds of them as well as picture tutorials.

A Valentine for my Sister

And here it is at last.... Just ONE of of those days
We all have those days where you want to pull your hair out. I used radiant pearls for the color on the iron oxide.
When you click on the picture you will see the wax a little bit better, just a reminder that the real piece the wax will get clearer as the days go on as the mositure under the wax goes away.
Tutorial
So before I post the iron oxide canvas I thought I would let you know how I did it
First I painted a small canvas with Black Guesso ( ignore the messy workspace) add some iron oxide
this is the finished sculpy clay piece with the iron oxide painted on
I used my beeswax for added depth
Can't forget Big Daddy's idea for the fake eyelases

Here is the canvas with just the black guesso and no iron oxide as you can see it is has a glare to it
Sculpey and some plastic forms
The piece without the iron oxide big difference
Next I used some skinner blend clay for her hair

You have to bake the iron oxide on so unless you have a dedicated over DO NOT USE IN YOUR HOME OVEN AS IT WILL SMOKE. After watching Tim he uses his UTEE pot so ... I did too and it works
Now for the finished piece
IT is almost finish
My iron oxide canvas but Big Daddy came up with a great fantastic amazing idea so I am off to Sally's to pick something up when I get back I will post it.
Micaceous Iron Oxide
So here is my Black Guesso and my Micaceous Iron Oxide and below you can see how cool it looks. I can't wait to try this stuff out
I received Tim Holtz's the Journey Continues DVD for Christmas this year and in one of the segments he used Micaceous Iron Oxide. So here is what it looks like and later you will see what I do with it.
Basically you paint this onto something black they use mica interference powders and man oh man it is beautiful when you are done. So, off to work on my oxide
Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers
So, Jeri my new friend from this wonderful world of blogging invited me to join and in following I asked Toni to join so now we are in a group of wonderful women who love the art of stamping.
I am so looking forward to meeting everyone and getting some new inspiration.
Let me tell you just a little bit about myself.
I have a wonderful husband who fuels my passion for this crazy thing called art. He surprises me all the time with art supplies and didn't complain too much when I pushed him out of his office and made it my studio. I call this wonderful man Big Daddy...lol don't know why he is a beanpole but after watching Beth call Dog Chapman her Big Daddy it just stuck with me. lol
I raised two daughters with my Big Daddy...his and mine both girls are now grown young women and out on their own and live states away, so it is just BD and myself at home.
I started scrapbooking and stamping 12-13 years ago but have always been a crafter and loved to sew.
Recently about two years ago I met Toni and started doing mixed media with her... ( she was my inpsiration) and now I am having the time of my life.
Retirement is not far off and when we do look out Canada or Minnesota cause we're coming your way. Both BD and I love the lake (I grew up in Canada every summer from toddler thru my late teens) on a lake working at my grandparents fishing lodge.
I am not happy unless I am somewhere close to water (thus I live on the east coast less than five miles from the ocean) and I HATE IT. I need Lake WATER and I need pine trees, birch trees and SNOW. I need to be able to drop what I am doing and jump in the boat and fish with BD. We lived in Michigan a few years back on a lake and the water was less than 20 feet from my back door BD would go fishing in his boat and I would load up my stamping supplies and stamp while he fished a site to see.
I currently am a store manager for a big box retailer
I love my job but hate the east coast. Someday BD and I along with Toni and her Double B will be going to Italy to just sip our coffee in a small cafe and talk to the locals... reminder to self study Italian.
Well, that is me now tell me about yourself all my SBS 11 friends

AT last here is Tim Holtz inspired canvas
so first I added distressed inks to my canvas then you let that dry and paint on a really thin coat of beeswax. Next add some tissue paper I used pieces of a pattern that Toni sent to me. Lightly coat that with beeswax. Then you use hinges and put two together but since I didn't get the exact effect I wanted I am making two different ones instead of one. May be blog candy....hum
next I painted a D that I found at Michaels for .99 cents and some letters and some other findings with hot glue. I used the paris stamp that Miss T sent to me. Hope you like it

So, even after talking with Tim I still can't find unprimed canvases anywhere. Even the site he sent me too didn't have the size I needed so I used a primed canvas. You don't get the effect that you want but...... overall it really isn't that bad is it?
Just a thought
So, this morning while just hanging out ( gosh I love this new schedule) I was thinking....
Where else in the world can you email someone so popular as Tim Holtz, Heidi Swapp, Donna Downey, Nancy Doreen, SuziBlu, or Claudine Hellmuth and they reply? They take time to visit our blogs they take time to answer our questions. Do you really think that Mrs. Butterworth, Mr. Flogers or Miss Cottonelle would ever answer our questions?
That is why I love the world of art it is such a close knit family that is so willing to not only help but give ideas to it's family members.
So I thank you all the above mention celebrities from all of us .... Thank you for inspiring us thank you for answering our questions and most of all thank you for pushing us forward.

hahahaha Tim Holtz emailed me
not once but twice. Of course it was only about where to find the unprimed canvas but hey at least he has my email address.
For Ciera

Please be patient
So, today I went to Michael's to find my canvas for my Tim Holtz canvas thingy I am doing. I had no idea that unprimed natural canvases would be like a major hunt.... WHERE DO YOU FIND THEM? They had some that were primed with oil, guesso, and acrylic and some musuem that were 20.00 bucks each but still not unprimed. oy vey
So, I bought the cheapy ones 3.99 cents for three and will figure it out some way. My little bitty hinges were .99 cents and I am going to sweet talk Big Daddy into using the dremel to put them in for me tomorrow.
I also bought my 4x6 canvas for my ultra secret squirrel thingy not saying what it is yet but it will be BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and Toni, I need a cute picture of Miss C for her secret squirrel thing too. Tell Cam or is it Chris to take a picture of C smiling but not too big of a smile maybe just a grin. Can't tell you yet what it is but C and C will love love love it. Something BD did when our girls were little that made them smile and I really think they will love it
okay off to work on Mr. Tim Holtz and to work some on Miss C's secret thingy.
