Sherri Baldy Challenge and my best friend

This is a tag I originally was going to use last week in the monochromatic challenge but never got her finished so I will use her for the flower challenge..lol 

My dear friend Valerie Grooms West and I were ten years old when we met. Life was hard being a kid from a bad divorce but she made it so much more bearable. We grew up together, married within two years of each other, bought a home within three houses of each other, vacationed together, she was there during a time when I tried so hard to have children then celebrated with me when I adopted my daughter.......then life happens. I got a new job and moved away...then a divorce another move, then another move, ..... a new husband...well you get the picture. I haven't seen Val in many years. But we can pick up the phone and talk like we just hung up from each other yesterday. I love her, miss her and thank her for being a friend to me........ There were many songs of life we have written together and I know if I forget a memory she will be there to remind me and if she forgets I will be there to remind her of a time less difficult, carefree and oh so fun. enjoy

In 1970 Val and I met both just ten years old.  Now 43 years later I still love her as much today

Our lives now couldn't be more different but our hearts will always remain the same.  A love for a childhood best friend....

There were so many memories we have written together....  She was Lucy and I was Ethel on most days.... but others I was Lucy and she was my Ethel.
