June 17th cropstop altered art challenge

Today is my day to post a challenge and of course mine will be altered art. I was shopping in the Dollar Tree store and found these word cutouts for only a dollar of course. I knew right off I would altered these using papers and embellishments.

I first painted the entire word, then used torn papers and mod podge to adhere the paper to the word. Once that was done I took Tim Holtz's distressed ink old paper and gave it a worn vintage look. Once it dried I used some embellishments I had and here it is.
