CropStop Challenge this week

When thinking for this week's challenge I thought how every time I want to challenge myself I do a monochromatic card.  This week we are challenging you to make a monochromatic project, which means a project where you use just ONE color (as many shades of it as you wish) and neutrals (black, white, grey, brown or cream).  I think most monochromatic projects are just simple and elegant.  Show us your projects this week and just in case you need some inspiration the team has put together some breath taking samples.

Remember to check our rules to ensure your project is eligible to win this week.

Calypso's card uses: Craft Concept Daisy-Do Embossing Folder,  Ranger Distress Inks,  Inkssentials Blending Tool, Scrapper's Floss, Glossy Accents, Spellbinder  Die Cuts, Versamark

The loss.....

The family is slowly going away.  In talking with my cousin, we realize we are all that is left.  My brother, a few cousins and myself.  Losing a family member is never easy never.
Losing a family is hard as well.  My mother and her other Daughter disowned me, all that is left is just a few not even enough to count on both hands.  Sad but true
Rest in Peace my Uncle ...... Rest.

Uncle Rex lived his life to the fullest.  He left behind a family that loved him more than life itself.  He is now in no pain.  He is with his Mother ( my Grandmother whom I have posted about many times) my Uncle who was always a child locked in a man's body, the Uncle who died to soon to get to know but was a hero to the family.  We now have another set of angel wings looking out over us.

A million prayers are needed

I just received an email that knocked me off my socks.  A fellow dear art friend found out she has cancer.  She starts chemo next week.  I am not sure if all of her family know so I won't say who but a million prayers are needed right now for this dear sweet friend and fellow art lover.
You know who you are and know that you are in my prayers.

TSA at Dulles Airport

First let me say that I am all for TSA and know the job they do is so needed.  I also understand if I have to go through second security.  I get it I really do.
What I don't get is the new set up at Dulles.  You have one line to put your bag, shoes, etc on the belt then there are two lines one goes through the full body scanner and the second is the old fashion detector.  Now, the problem with this scene is once you put your bags etc on the belt you lose sight of them until you are through.  Back in the old days you could keep your eye on the bag while you went through security.
Thursday the guy before me was having problems so we waited and waited until finally someone said, this is closed let them through.
Great, so I go through go to grab my purse only to find someone had their hand on , now here is where I can chose to look at it two ways.  The man turned and said is this yours? I said yes, thank you or I could look at it this way............was he going to take it? if I said NO?????
Who knows? All I know is that Dulles, figure out a way to make it so that one can keep their eyes on their bags.  That's it
Not asking for you to change anything, I don't care if I have to go through six levels of security....just let me keep my eyes on my bag!!!!
